RESEARCH

Researching about Northern Soul, I found a website explaining multiple things about the subject. But something caught my eye, they were explaining the fashion side of Northern soul; in the beginning, the movement dressed more like mobs, with button tailored Ben Sherman suits. It quickly changed as people didn't want to ruin expensive clothing and the style became more casual, shirt and wide legs jeans to be able to since better and feel more at ease. Even if the style became more simplified later on, people still had a way of different themselves with badges and patches, also showing which group they come from or support, a very famous phrase for these badges would have been "Keep the faith" and you would generally find the black gloved hand logo representative of the movement.

Here are examples of badges you could find.

Here is what you would see before they wore more casual clothing. Here is what they would were after they decided it'd be better to wear casual clothing over nice suits.
